I was so excited to buy an otterbox that would:
A-Protect my new iPhone 5s and
B-provide a battery backup,
all in one!
However, after receiving the case, I noticed many things that ultimately led to a return.
1. The port to charge your phone is a micro USB. So all these apple charges that I have, no good unless I remove the case, which I might add, is a HUGE pain. You would have to remove the case to use your apple charger to charge or sync to my radio's, iHome or even sync with my iTunes on my computer.
2. The side volume buttons AND power buttons on the case, are SUPER stiff and do not work! I could not power off my phone, take a screen shot or adjust my volume without the use of these buttons. If I pressed really hard on the side volume buttons, both the up and down would respond. Very annoying. I though it might have also been because I had a screen protector on, so I removed it and still it did not line up right and the buttons would not budge.
3. Case doesn't come with a screen protector. Which is fine if you don't worry about your screen or if you already have a screen protector, (which thankfully I did) but you should be aware of this.
I might have gotten a defective one. But for the price I paid and the fact that I have to pay for the return shipping on something that did not work(which I find very unsettling), I decided not to try another one and chance that it was just as useless as the one I received.
I am so disappointed, hopefully in the future Otterbox will make this case and battery back up more dynamic and workable with the iPhone.
However, I do love otterbox products, just this one did not do it for me.
Pros: Durable, pleasing to the eye
Cons: access buttons, syncing cable different, does not include screen protector

Is the case designed to easily attach and remove from the phone?

I want to use the case in conjunction with my Reflex and Armor cases depending on what I'm doing any given day.
I found it very difficult to remove this from my phone and at times almost felt I would break the top portion of the case. I would be weary of this item if your intention is to remove it frequently as it is not a simple and easy case to remove.
