I really like the case, and the physical protection it provides. But the design prevents the proximity sensor from functioning properly. When I make a call, the screen turns off even when it's not near my face. I can only turn the screen on by having the person I called terminating the call, or removing it from the case. This prevents me from using the keypad during a call.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: call functionallity is lost when inside the case.

Does this case work with the Galaxy S4 proximity sensor?

When you are on a phone call and place the phone to your ear, does the screen come back on when you take the phone away from your ear?
No this does not work with the proximity sensor. As soon as you make a call, the screen goes blank. It only turns back when the call is terminated.
