The Defender Series case for the iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4 is built for those of us on-the-go, have children or are generally graceless with electronics.

I bought this in January to go with my new I pad. Its awesome as I knew it would be from having one on my I phone for the last 2 years. Keeps I pad clean and screen scratch free. I work in construction and carry my I pad on every sales call. The cover keeps it safe while sitting on the seat of my truck, prevents dust from getting in and most of all protects my screen from scratches while prospective clients are viewing my photo catalogue.
Pros: High quality, Durable

Is this going to shut off my iPad when you close it?

The iPad has a internal switch that shuts off the screen when the cover (Apple "Smart Cover") is closed, and turn back on when its opened, will this case do the same thing?
Yes it does.
