While I was hopeful that this case would be as high a quality as OtterBox is known for, I found that over time the case does not hold up.
The phone (with OEM extended battery) fits nice and snug within the case and for the most part the case has protected the phone decently. The case has helped the phone withstand a handful of drops without incident. The ability of the holster to act as a stand (more practically in landscape orientation than portrait) was also a welcome feature.
Unfortunately the case is not without its faults. About a year into the use of the case the tab that holds the case into the holster snapped, rendering the holster unusable. The case itself has also stressed the points where the two "clamshell" plastic components snap together. At this point it's effectively the silicone layer holding the case together. There's also the issue of debris easily getting into the case through the opening at the front top of the case (where the speaker is for telephone conversations). This has resulted in excessive scratching along the top of the phone. Debris also has a habit of getting in through this same opening and sitting between the screen protector and the case, forcing the need to regularly take the case apart and clean.
While the design of this case had good intentions it just does not have the endurance required of a daily use device like the phone it's intended to protect.
