iPad mini with Retina display Defender Series Case
The Defender Series case for iPad mini and iPad mini with Retina display absorbs impact force, deflects scratches and is the perfect all-around defense against life’s little mishaps.

I got the Papaya (Peony Pink/White), and the color is scrumptious in person.
I had feared that the case might look or feel bulky but it really doesn't.
It fits the iPad mini with Retina display like a glove (so much so that it's very difficult to take the case apart after the iPad is in it. So make sure that there isn't a speck of dust on the back of the screen protector or on the iPad screen before you finish putting it back together).
It is comfortable to hold and use (you don't notice the built-in screen protector even when typing), although the home button and volume buttons are hard to press (as opposed to the sleep button that's easy to).
It's as near perfect a design as I believe an iPad case can be, to offer this level of quality protection. I'm so happy I chose it, after much deliberation over the cost -- it's well worth it!

Dimensions vs. old iPad Mini Defender?

The dimensions listed for this case are exactly the same as those for the old iPad Mini case, despite the fact that the new Retina Mini is slightly thicker (7.5mm vs 7.2 in the old one). Is this a misprint? I would hate to get my new Retina Mini only to find that the case is not a good fit!
The sticker on the packaging reads: iPad mini & mini with Retina Display. So, it's not a typo.

But the difference in dimensions may account for why (a) it was so difficult for me (and two others I enlisted to try) to open the case after my mini Retina was closed in it and (b) the home button and volume buttons are so hard to press!
