I had previously purchased the Armor Serious for my iPhone 5, while I like that case a lot it tended to be a little too bulky. So I ended up purchasing a Lifeproof Frē case and while I liked the sleekness of it I didm't feel as confident in it as far as durability goes as I did with the Armor. This Preserver Series is like the best of both worlds. More durability. Slimmed down design (barely thicker than Lifeproof). Sound is still crisp (for a fully waterproof case). And it's great knowing my iPhone 5s is now in the ultimate protection available.
Pros: High quality, Durable

Will the fingerprint scan still work on the iPhone 5s if the case is on?

Yes. The fingerprint sensor still works with the case on. However, they recommend setting up the Touch ID prior to installing the case for the best scan results. I have found my sensor to only work about 7/10 times on average. Not enough for me to care because it does work often enough. But to some this might be annoying. I found this case to be the best one I've tried so far.

Will the preserver case fit the iPhone 5C as well? 5S and 5C are very similar.

No. The iPhone 5c is slightly thicker than the 5/5s and because of the different form factors of the body the case would not seal properly, if at all.
