I think I have actually tried every waterproof case for the iPhone 5. I have finally found one that allows you to actually use your phone for conversations.
I can hear the other person, and they can hear me!! -Novel idea for a phone case!!
At first I had trouble with the mute switch just as others have, but then I took the case apart and looked at the switch. There is a groove in the case that your phone's mute switch must fit into. After I re-installed the case correctly, the mute switch worked correctly.
I am a little bit worried about how the membrane covering home button will hold up to long term use. The covering is very thin so that the fingerprint sensor will work through the case. (I cannot test whether the fingerprint sensor works because I only have an iPhone 5.)
The size is slightly bigger than the lifeproof cases, but smaller than the Defender. And, it is very light.
The ports seal very well, and after using the case for 4 days, I am confident that the ports will still seal tightly months from now.
The touchscreen cover was tough at fist, but it is now smoothing out and works better after a couple of days. I have an adhesive screen protector on the phone under the case, and it does not interfere with the fit or function of the case.
The camera and the flash work normally.
The only thing missing is a belt clip.
Pros: High quality, Durable, clear audio, lightweight
Cons: no belt clip
