The stylish floral print is what drew me to this case, but its durability and functionality continue to impress me. Since I purchased the case, my phone has survived several drops and slips unscathed, and I like having easy access to the headphone and USB ports. The rubber bumper around the screen keeps the phone from sliding if I have it facedown on a less-than-even surface. If you want a sleek, fashionable case with OtterBox protection, this is the way to go!
Pros: High quality, Durable, pretty!

Does the symmetry series have covers on all ports like the commuter series?

The Symmetry series does not cover the ports, but it does cover the power and volume buttons.

How does it compare to the defender

Drops, protection, etc.
The Defender will give your phone more cushioning and the built-in screen protector (not part of the Symmetry series) will guard against scratches. If you're concerned about dust, sand, etc. getting into your ports, the Defender is a good choice because it will keep them covered.

On the flip side, the Symmetry is a good choice if you want a lighter, less bulky case, and it's easier to slide in and out of your pockets. It also keeps the headphone and USB ports open, which is nice if you're using them a lot. No built-in screen protector with this case, but you can purchase a screen guard separately if you're so inclined.
