Don't settle for just a case. Get the kind of protection that inspires confidence with the Defender Series DROID RAZR HD case from OtterBox.

Overall great protection and sold holster. Actual rubber case stretched over time exposing inner plastic case to dust, moisture, etc. and port covers tore off at the hinges. 4 point securing holster is very secure.
Pros: High quality, Durable, keeps a new phone like brand new
Cons: rubber cover stretches out at seams

As others have mentioned, the single clip broke for me and I just completed my warranty process today. I've been happy with the warranty service and follow up at this stage. I suggested a 4 point securing design on the corners similar to the holster I have on my Droid Razr HD Defender. On that model the port covers came off and the back of the cover showed wear, but my phone inside when taken out is just like I got it an hour ago. The holster with 4 securing points on the corners are also in perfect functioning order.
Regarding the Note 3 cover, it would be nice to have some type of accessory extensions for both the headphone jack at the top and the Micro USB input on the bottom. I cannot get a solid connection on the headphone jack with some 3.5mm jacks with the cover on, so no sound or a left or right channel does not playback audio. With the Micro USB port I cannot just plug the phone with the cover on to a male Micro USB connection on my external speakers to charge while playing music. Yes, I can use the Bluetooth function to play music, but I cannot charge the phone at the same time. Obviously, when you put this cover on, you don't want to take the time or hassle to take if off and on constantly.
Overall, I love the Defender, but there is room for improvement.
Pros: High quality, Durable, snug fit cover, no additional screen protection needed
Cons: holster clip too hard to take phone out, holster clip middle contact breaks off, some audio jacks don't seat all the way, micro usb port sometimes blocked by cover

how do i get case open

There are little notches to lift with a nail. Do one at a time starting with one and go around the case. I recall there are arrows on the back of the case to show where a few of the notch locations are.
