The Defender Series iPhone 4/ 4S belt-clip holster is a must-have for hands-free viewing. Pick up an extra if you’ve been a little too tough on yours.

Excellent product, excellent customer service, excellent promptness of the delivery! My iPhone has been protected and saved for over 2 years thanks to the great Otterbox protection!! However the holster clip seems to be prone to come apart alot.
The spring Gizmo could perhaps be made a bit more durable. I notice scads of Otterbox users all over (I'm a Trucker)...but almost never see the holster used! I use mine mostly as a "mini Tv Stand" ;-) Still a good device though.
Pros: handy as "mini tv stand"
Cons: Not durable

Get a new silicone layer with as many different color combinations as you'd like. Pick your favorite or get all seven.

Buy a new silicone layer in a variety of colors. With seven colors to choose from, it’ll be hard to pick just one.

why the defender series rubber case does not have an earphone plug access?

I bought an iPhone 4s rubber case from Otter online and it has an access to the earphone plug but it's completely covered. it seams that it has been reversed because it has access to the phone chip releaser. can you please tell me it that was the way it was built or there was a factory default?

Thank you!
**I love Otter products!
Howdy! Well this is my take on your question...I had the same question over 2 years ago...I was trying to plug in my earphone device and I could not get it in, then I thought the same thing you did...obviously it has been reversed! However...after a while I came up with this answer

Just like the Off/On switch, the ringer switch, the charging port...the access is there but yet protecting your phone. I believe it's done that way to keep moisture from getting in...Cause all you have to do is pop up the flap and insert your plug...this answer may be wrong, but makes sense to me ;-)
