this was sent as a replacement for the Commuter version...which I love. I am not feeling any love for the Defender. The case is difficult to remove/open when needed. The belt clip for the white case is black so it doesn't match and not very secure either. The screen protector is integrated into the case instead of a stick on film and too thick so it looses contact making it difficult to use phone features and swype is nearly impossible. This case is also bigger than the Commuter
Pros: Durable
Cons: loss of screen use, difficult to remove

Issues Swiping through screen protector

There is a noticeable bowing outward on the screen protector "film" of about 1/16in that makes it nearly impossible to accurately swipe. Is this normal? If so, is there anyway to compensate for the lack of swipe capability? I've heard great things about Otter cases and am a little disappointed if this is indeed the "norm." Thanks!
its the integrated screen protector. Try the Commuter version which comes with a stick on film instead of the hard plastic screen cover (works perfectly). The Commuter case is also smaller, which for me is the reason I chose the S4 mini.
