I had a Commuter for my GS3. The rubber flap over the headphones jack eventually wore out at the hinge point and came off. I had had the unit for about a year and a half (past warranty) but I thought I'd give a replacement a shot.
I checked the OB website and followed their instructions for a warranty replacement. I exepected a follow up that would eventually deny my request. To my surprise, within 30 minutes I received an email stating that my case had been reviewed and that the processing of sending a replacement had begun.
Their products are very good and they truely stand behind them. OtterBox is the only phone protector I'll order!
The Commuter version is nice because it has a much smaller form factor than the defender. I not only adequately protects the phone, but it's much easier to remove the phone for a battery swap than the Defender (which is nearly impossible without breaking a clip).
I gave the protection rating a "Good" because there is no inherent protection for the screen beyond a standard scratch cover.
I gave the design a "Good" rating because the cover doors for the connection openings can wear at the "hinge" as was the reason for my replacement.
Both of these issues are pretty minor in my opinion especially in relation to the overall quality of the protector and the company.
